FAQs

  • How are programme sessions structured?
The programme is structured primarily around group work, with lively exercises, discussion and practical boardroom planning.
  • What level of confidentiality can I expect?
Participants will gain the most benefit from the programme if they are able to share openly about their experiences and challenges. Accordingly, all discussions must be treated with the strictest confidence and must not be shared outside of the programme cohort.
  • How many people attend each programme?
Every programme has one cohort of participants who go through the programme together and provide ongoing support to each other after the programme finishes. We closely manage numbers to create the best possible dynamics within the whole cohort, up to a maximum of 18 participants. The minimum number on any programme is eight participants.
  • What if I am the only member of my board attending the programme?
We strongly encourage pairs from the same sponsoring board. This creates the best conditions for subsequent implementation and supports group work during sessions. However, we will attempt to pair you with another single participant if you are the sole representative from your board.
  • How do you support the development of a business case and implementation plan for my board?
During the programme, the facilitators, your paired participant and other members of your programme cohort will help you informally to navigate the specific challenges on your board. You will have secure access to online resources to guide you through the development of your business case and implementation plan.
  • Will I have to undertake a lot of work outside of the residential programme?
Cognitive diversity is a complex area. Successful implementation within your board will require a deep understanding of the subject, a compelling business case and a practicable change management plan. The more time you invest in your post-programme planning and implementation, the more your contribution to your board will grow in value, leading to a greater impact.
  • Should I read-up on cognitive diversity before I attend the residential programme?
Preparation is always worthwhile. The most important thing you can bring to the programme is a deep conviction that the successful implementation of cognitive diversity in your board will bring transformational change and improved outcomes.
  • How do I book my place?
Booking is done by signing a simple booking form on behalf of your sponsoring board, which will be provided by your programme facilitator. The first step is to book a short Zoom call with one of our team members. This person will become your facilitator throughout the whole programme. The initial call will focus on your aims for your board. After that, your facilitator will arrange any further conversations as needed to onboard you.
  • Do you offer discounts?
We do not offer discounts. Feedback from pricing consultations indicates that the programme offers exceptional quality relative to its price point. Our aim has been to create a world-class, groundbreaking programme, meticulously developed over several years to deliver outstanding value to participants and their boards.
  • Where can I find the booking terms and conditions?
You can find a copy of the booking terms and conditions by clicking here.
  • What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel, the Fee is chargeable and payable per the following schedule. This reflects the direct costs we incur on your behalf. See also the FAQ "Can I transfer my place to a board colleague?".
  • Can I transfer my place to a board colleague?
In our absolute discretion, rather than cancel your Booking we will consider a request to transfer your booking to a board colleague from the same Company subject to their suitability for the programme.
  • What ongoing support is provided?
What happens after the programme finishes is the most important part, because this is when you will realise the benefits for your board. After the programme finishes, you will continue to have access to our online resources, your business case and implementation plan for up to two years, although we may close your account if it remains unused for six months or more. We will also organise periodic online check-ins with factilitators and other members of your cohort, where you will be able to share experiences and challenges. Facilitators are available to carry out further work with your board on a consultancy basis.
